CAT RETURNS AFTER 7 YEARS!

THOMASVILLE, Ga., Dec. 27 (UPI) --

A cat that vanished in Georgia seven
years ago returned to her owners when she needed to get in out of the rain.

Marty and Angela McGuire told the Thomasville Times-Enterprise the cat, named Sweetie, disappeared shortly after being spayed in April 2000. Marty McGuire said the veterinarian told them she could have become disoriented because
of the anesthesia.

On Dec. 15, Sweetie returned to their house with their other cats. But the McGuires said they did not recognize her at first because they thought she was Wild Cat, one of Sweetie's offspring.

The next morning they realized the newcomer was not Wild Cat.

"Then, we got to looking at her, called her 'Sweetie' and she came up to us and rubbed on us," McGuire said.

Sweetie was still carrying staples from the surgery that had not been removed because of her vanishing act.

Now, the McGuires are trying to figure out where the cat has been for the past seven years.

"I always told my wife Sweetie wasn't dead and she'd come back," Marty
McGuire said. "She is definitely our Christmas miracle."

LOST PET BEHAVIOR

"....dogs are much different than cats. The methods that should be used to search for a lost dog, an outdoor-access cat that has vanished from its territory, and an indoor-only cat that has escaped outside are all entirely different methods..."

DESPERATELY SEARCHING FOR MILO

485-8008

REWARD!!

Who'd thought that Milo would run from a bully cat and disappear into thin air? After all, he's been living at his place for 8 years and knows all the other cats!  God blessed me when he allowed me to see what happened.  My baby has been gone since April, and my sadness is so deep.  Thank God for the Cat Profiler, and The Feline Finders who gave me a lot of good tips and told me where he would likely be.  My posters are up, my prayers are continuing, and my faith is strong.

THANK-YOU ELAINE DE CARLO FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT, KINDNESS, VISIONS, AND FRIENDSHIP! YOU ARE ALWAYS THERE FOR ME!

THINK LOST

NOT STRAY!

The phrase "THINK LOST, NOT STRAY" was developed by Missing Pet Partnership as means to send out a new message designed to reunite more lost dogs and cats with the families who love them. Their message to the animal welfare industry and citizen rescuers is this: Many of the "stray dogs" and "feral cats" that come into your care are actually lost pets with families who would do anything to get their companion animal back home. Before you work to give a found dog or found cat a new home,

 THINK LOST, NOT STRAY!

A poster exactly like this one has been proven over and over again by me to being effective in finding missing pets and/or finding the owners of a found pet. In fact, once, I hadn't even finished putting it up, when someone pulled over and told me that they had the missing pet at their house!

Do not waste any time in making one ASAP! It could save your pet's life!

WHERE'S MUGODDAI?

Mugoddai, the cat has been missing for about the same length of time my cat Peanut has.  Mugoddai's Mom and I, even though in different States, understand what each other is going through, and talk with each other when we get sad and think about our missing kitties.  She painted this absolutely beautiful picture of Mugoddai.  To read his story, visit www.mugoddai.com

In memory of my sweet bunny "Oreo" who taught me how bunnies need and deserve to be treated.  I love and miss you.
